Back Up

Backing Up Apps:

  1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Tap "Backup"
  3. If this is the first time you access this application, review the introduction
  4. Review the "End User License Agreement" and then tap "Agree"
  5. Tap "Manual backup"
  6. Select the location of the backup then tap "Next"
  7. Tap "New backup". Tip: if you wish to replace an existing backup file, tap "Overwrite"
  8. Type in a name for the backup file, then tap "Next"
  9. Mark the check boxes associated with "LG Apps" and "Downloaded apps"
  10. Tap "Backup" and press "OK" to confirm

Backing Up Contacts:

  1. While viewing a home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Select "Backup"
  3. Review the introduction, assuming that this is the first time using the application
  4. Read the "End User License Agreement" and tap "Agree"
  5. Tap "Manual backup"
  6. Select the desired location for the backup and then tap "Next"
  7. Press "New backup". Alternatively, you can tap "Overwrite" if you wish to replace an existing backup file
  8. Type in a name for the backup file and then press "Next"
  9. Mark the "Personal data" check box, then tap "Backup" and press "OK" to confirm

Backing Up Media & Pictures:

  1. Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable that came with your smartphone
  2. Once prompted, tap "Media sync (MTP)" on your handset
  3. On your computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer" in the "AutoPlay" window
  4. Navigate to the desired media files that are stored on your handset
  5. Drag and drop the media files from your device to a folder on your PC
  6. Once the copying process is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
  7. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" and tap "OK"
  8. You can now disconnect your smartphone from your computer


Restore

Restoring Apps and /or Contacts:

  1. While viewing a home screen, press "Apps"
  2. Select "Backup" and tap "Restore"
  3. Choose the desired backup file from the list
  4. Tap "Restore"
  5. Review the "warning" pop-up then tap "Yes" to confirm. Your device will now restart

Restoring Media Files:

  1. Connect your handset to your PC using the USB cable
  2. When prompted, tap "Media sync (MTP)" on your smartphone
  3. On your PC, once the "AutoPlay" window appears, click on "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  4. Navigate to the files that have been backed up on your computer
  5. Drag and drop the backed up files on your computer, to the desired location on your phone's storage
  6. Once the copying process is complete, click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
  7. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" and click "OK"
  8. You can now disconnect your handset from your PC
