NOTE: rebooting your smartphone in safe mode allows you to remove applications that may have a malicious behavior and prevent you from uninstalling them. In safe mode, all third party applications are disabled.
Enabling Safe Mode:
- With the smartphone turned on, press and hold the "Power" button
- On the screen, tap and hold "Power off"
- In the "Reboot to safe mode" screen, review the information and tap "OK" to confirm
- Your smartphone will now reboot, and a "Safe mode" note should be present in the bottom-left corner of the screen
Uninstalling a Third Party App in Safe Mode:
- From the home screen, press the "Menu" key
- Tap "System settings"
- Under "Device", tap "Apps"
- Swipe to the "All" or "Downloaded" screen
- Select the app that you wish to remove
- Tap "Uninstall" and confirm by pressing "OK"
Exiting Safe Mode:
- Press and hold the "Power" button
- Tap "Power off and restart"
- Tap "OK" to confirm
