Using iTunes:

NOTE: With the help of iTunes you can transfer the contacts stored on your iPhone with your Google account, allowing you to then easily re-sync the contacts from the account with the LG G3 Vigor. This method requires a computer with Internet access and iTunes installed

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Use the proprietary USB cable to connect the iPhone to your computer
  3. Once connected, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it to view the summary page
  4. From the "Info" tab, mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
  6. Enter your Google account's log in credentials. Alternatively, if you've added an account in iTunes before, click "Configure" and select one from the list
  7. Click "Apply" to begin the sync
  8. Lastly, register the same Google account on the LG G3 Vigor, and allow it to sync contacts with your Android smartphone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If you've used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone prior to following this guide, then your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. Using a computer with Internet access, you can access your iCloud account and export the contacts for Android use

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in to your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" and select the contacts you wish to transfer
  4. Click the cog wheel button from the lower-left area and select "Export vCard"
  5. Wait for the VCF file to be downloaded on your computer
  6. After you've obtained the vCard file, import it to "Google Contacts" or: connect the LG G3 Vigor to your computer via USB, copy the vCard file to the phone's storage, open the "Contacts" app and import the file to your phonebook

Using "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: The methods explained above require access to a computer, but you can easily transfer your contacts without one, with the help of various third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS application that can be used to back up your contacts as a VCF file, and transfer it via email. To do so:

  1. Visit the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on the iPhone
  2. Launch the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After the backup file is done, tap "Email" to compose an email and attach the VCF file to it
  4. Send the email to your Gmail address
  5. On the LG G3 Vigor, open the email and download the attached VCF file
  6. Open the "Contacts" app and use the "Import" option to import the VCF file's contents

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Send Anywhere is a third party app for iOS and Android, which can be used for transferring contacts and other types of files cross-platform, through a p2p connection. To perform this method:

  1. Go to the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on the LG G3 Vigor
  2. From the App Store, install the same app on your iPhone
  3. After the app is installed, launch it on both smartphoens
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Mark the contacts you want to transfer and then tap "Send"
  6. Finally, select the desired transfer method. Tapping "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone generates a code that can be scanned with the Vigor's camera to commence the transfer process. You can also tap "Receive" on the LG smartphone, and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone
