Restore a sbf File Located on a Computer:

  1. Connect the LG Tribute 5 to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  3. Enable “Media sync (MTP)” if necessary
  4. On the computer, open the File Explorer
  5. Locate the “.sbf” backup file and copy it
  6. Transfer the file on the phone storage

Restore Contacts:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
  4. Swipe to “Phone Management” and tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup”
  6. Locate and select the contact backup file
  7. Tap “Start” to begin the restore
  8. At the “Restored” pop-up, tap “Done”
  9. Wait for your phone to reboot and complete the restore

Restore Content from the SD Card:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Swipe to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup service”
  6. Locate and select the desired SD card backup
  7. Tap “Start”
  8. At the “Restored” pop-up, tap “Done”
  9. Wait for your phone to reboot and complete the restore

Restore Media Files From the Phone:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup”
  5. Locate and select the media backup file(s) you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start”
  7. At the “Restore completed” message, tap “Restart”

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG Tribute 5 to your computer via USB
  2. On the home screen, drag the “Notification” bar down and enable “Media sync (MTP)” if necessary
  3. On the computer, launch the File Explorer
  4. Locate the media files backed up on your PC and copy them
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
