Restore a .sbf File From a Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the LG K5 and computer
  2. On the home screen, drag the “Status” bar down
  3. Make sure “Media sync (MTP)” is enabled
  4. Open the File Explorer on the PC and locate the “.sbf” file you want to restore
  5. Copy the file and transfer it back on the phone storage
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Restore Content from an SD Card:

  1. Make sure the SD card containing your files is installed on the phone
  2. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup service", tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the SD card backup you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start”
  7. At the “Restored” pop-up, tap “Done”
  8. Wait for the phone to reboot and complete the restore

Restore Contacts:

  1. Access “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  6. Select the backup file you want to restore and tap “Start”
  7. At the “Restored” prompt, tap “Done”

Restore Media Files Using the Phone:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management”
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the media files you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start” and wait for the “Restore complete” pop-up
  7. Tap “Restart” and wait for the phone to reboot

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the LG K5 and your computer
  2. Slide the “Status” bar down on the home screen, and make sure “Media sync (MTP)” is enabled
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer, and locate the media files backed up on your PC
  4. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory, or the folder(s) they originate from
  5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector
