Back Up App Data:
- Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
- Tap Settings in the top-right corner
- Go to General
- Tap Backup & reset and turn on Back up my data
Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:
- On the home screen, swipe the notification bar down
- Open Settings
- Tap General > Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore
- Tap Back up data
- At the prompt select LG Cloud and sign in with your LG Account
- Enable Personal data and deselect the other options
- Expand the Personal data directory and select Contacts
- Tap Start and wait for the Back up completed pop-up
- Tap Done
Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:
- Open Settings and tap General
- Tap Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore
- Tap Back up data and ensure SD Card is selected
- Select the items you wish to back up
- Tap Start
- When prompted with Backup completed, tap Done
Back Up Media Files On Your Phone:
- Drag the Status bar down on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Access General
- Tap Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore
- Enable Media data and deselect the other non-media options
- Expand the Media data directory and select the files you want to back up
- Tap Start to begin the sync
- At the Backup completed prompt, tap Done
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the LG G5 Lifestyle and computer
- When prompted, tap Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) on the phone, otherwise enable the option from the notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the explorer to locate the media files on your phone
- Copy the desired files and paste them in the desired backup location on the computer
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
