Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Launch Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Battery saver
- Set the switch to ON and select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically
Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Open Settings and go to the Display tab
- Under Basic settings, tap Brightness
- Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
- Tap Screen timeout and select a lower value
Disable Connectivity When Unused:
NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Access Settings and go to the Networks tab
- Tap Tethering under Connectivity
- Tap Mobile Hotspot and turn the option OFF
- Return to Settings and tap the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switches OFF
- Under Personal, tap Location for more GPS options
- Tap Mode and choose Battery saving (Networks only)
Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:
NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you dont have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G connectivity.
- Open Settings and go to Networks
- Under Connectivity, tap More
- Tap Mobile networks > Network mode
- Turn on GSM only
Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:
- Open Settings
- Switch to the General tab if necessary
- Scroll to Smart functions
- Tap Smart settings and disable the option
Disable Background Data:
- Launch Settings
- Go to the Networks tab
- Tap Mobile data > Menu
- Enable Restrict background data
- Tap OK to confirm
Change Sync Settings:
NOTE: By reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts / apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.
- Launch Settings
- From the General tab, scroll to Personal
- Tap Accounts & sync
- Optionally, disable Auto-sync data and scroll to Accounts
- Select an account or app and change the desired sync settings to reduce sync
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes, and they can affect battery life even when not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps form your phone, you can improve battery life.
- Open Settings
- Switch to the General tab if necessary
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Apps
- Access Downloaded and tap & hold the desired application
- Tap Disable / Force stop to disable the app, or:
- Tap Uninstall to remove the app from the phone
