Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with your Android phone.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and access the “Info” tab
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account, or go to “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the LG phone and sign in with the same Google account
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with your phone

Share iPhone Contact via iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an active Internet connection and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings”
  5. Click “Export vCard” and wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer
  6. Perform one of the steps below:
    • Use the Internet browser on the computer to import the vCard file to “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the LG K8 (2017) to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Make sure the email contains the vCard as an attachment and send it to your own address
  5. On the LG device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for transferring iPhone contacts is Send Anywhere, on iOS and Android. The app uses a p2p connection to transfer contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the Google Play Store and install the same app on the LG K8
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Select the desired transfer method, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process
