Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Open Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Tap Battery & power saving under Phone Management
- Enable Power Saving and turn the desired Power Saving options ON or OFF
- Lastly, choose the battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically
Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:
- Launch Settings
- Go to the General tab if necessary
- Scroll to Smart functions > Smart settings
- Set the option OFF
Adjust Visual Quality in Games:
- Open Settings
- From the General tab, scroll to Phone Management
- Tap Battery & Power saving
- Disable Game optimizer
Turn OFF Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling the phones connectivity features when unused, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- From the Networks tab, scroll tap Connectivity
- Tap Tethering > Mobile Hotspot
- Set the toggle OFF
- Go back to Settings and tap the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switches OFF
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Personal and tap Location (GPS) > Mode
- Select Battery saving (networks only)
Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:
NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you dont have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.
- Open Settings
- Go to the Networks tab
- Scroll to Connectivity and tap More
- Tap Mobile networks > Network mode
- Enable GSM only
Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Launch Settings
- Go to the Display tab
- Scroll to Basic settings
- Tap Brightness and drag the brightness slider towards the left side of the screen
- Next, tap Screen timeout and select a lower screen timeout value
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes and can affect battery life even when not in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Apps
- Go to Downloaded
- Tap and hold the desired app
- To disable the app, tap Force Stop / Disable
- To remove the app from the phone, tap Uninstall
Disable Background Data:
- Launch Settings
- Go to the Networks tab
- Tap Mobile data > Menu
- Enable Restrict background data > OK to confirm
Change Sync Settings:
NOTE: By changing your accounts/apps sync settings to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Launch Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Personal
- Tap Accounts & sync and disable Auto-sync data
- Scroll to Accounts
- Select an app / account to change its sync settings
