Back Up App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Tap “Back up my data” under “Google Backup” and enable the feature

Back Up Contacts on an Account:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “General” and tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone management”
  3. Tap “LG Backup”
  4. Go to “Backup & restore”
  5. Tap “Back up data” and select the SD card
  6. At the prompt, sign in with the desired backup account
  7. Select “Personal data” while deselecting the other options
  8. Expand the “Personal data” folder and ensure “Contacts” is checked
  9. Tap “Start” > “Done” to confirm

Back Up Contacts on SD Storage:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If necessary, go to “General”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “LG Backup & reset”
  5. Access “Backup data”
  6. Select “SD Card” and the items you want to back up
  7. Press “Start” to begin the process
  8. Once the process is complete, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management”
  3. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  4. Select “Media data” and deselect the other options
  5. Expand the “Media data” option and select the files you want to back up
  6. Tap “Start” > “Done”

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG device to the computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate and copy the desired media files or “.sbf” backup files on the phone storage
  5. Paste the files in the desired backup location on the computer storage
  6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
