NOTE: For instructions on how to back up app data, contacts, and media, check this thread.

Restore App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
  3. Under “Phone management”, tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Scroll to “LG Backup” and tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the desired backup file to restore and tap “Start” > “Done”

NOTE: You may need to reboot your device in order for the restore to complete.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If necessary, switch to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone management” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup” tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the backup file you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start” > “Done”

NOTE: You may need to reboot your device to complete the restore.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If needed, access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone management” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup” tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the desired backup file
  6. Tap “Start” and then “Done” when prompted with “Restored”

Restore Media Files:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Phone management” > “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup” tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Select the media files you want to restore and tap “Start”
  6. When prompted with “Restore completed” tap “Restart”

Restore Media Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the LG phone to the computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media sync” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate and copy the media file backups from the computer
  5. Paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
  6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
