Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the audio files on the PC storage
  4. Transfer the desired files to the phone storage in the “Ringtones” and/or “notifications” directories
  5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: You can’t set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”

Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:

  1. Open “Email”
  2. Tap “menu” > “Settings”
  3. Go to “Accounts & Sync”
  4. Tap “New emails”
  5. Go to “Notification sound” and select the desired notification alert
  6. Optionally, enable or disable “Vibrate”

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

  1. Open “Messages”
  2. Tap “Menu” > “settings”
  3. Access “Advanced settings” and tap “more” > “Emergency alerts”
  4. Enable or disable “Imminent severe alerts” “Imminent extreme alerts” and “AMBER alerts”
  5. Optionally, turn ON or OFF “Sound and vibrate” “Alert Vibration” and “Alert Sound”
