I try to link my V3a using Motorola Phone Tools . . . and it says: "my phone not compatible". Any clues?

Is P2K any different? Will it work? I just want to access data base in phone.

My V3a came from Metro PCS, and is undoubtedly polluted (locked, whatever) by Metro in any way possible. Should I liberate my phone from this initial tyranny?
