I have today made an effort to familiarize myself with my husband's cell phone that he frequently rants and rages about and in an attempt to "fix it", called Verizon and was treated quite decently and believe we solved a "roaming ability" problem. So, then went to attempt to add a few numbers I use to the phone book and instantly was "humblized" again by modern technology.

On a Motorola T730, how do you put the "name" for the number you're adding to the phone book? I've read and reread the instructions. The name I want is "Verizon Tech Support". I've clicked the TUV key 3 times, the DEF key 2 times, etc., and am not getting anywhere close to the name I want.

Feeling real dumb. Advise if I'm in the wrong forum.

    Thanks/SudsK

^ Geez. I'm sorry that you've had such a hard time-with something as inherently simple as this.

    I've used a V300, V635, SonyEricsson s710a and a Moto T720. From what I can see.

you have several ways of adding a phone number. One of them being,

Just enter the number. It should then give you the option to STORE the number on the soft button keys (Soft button keys, are the three top-most buttons flush with the bottom of the screen. Soft, because the functions assigned to them changes according to what menu or action you're currently performing).

Once you choose store, it SHOULD say enter name or something along those lines.

Otherwise, you can hit the center button (usually the menu button) which'll take you to the main menu., you choose phonebook and then either the first two lines should say [new number] or the soft-button should say [enter] "new number".

if you're still dumb-founded, come on msn., give me your number if in Europe/Canada/US, and I can call you and talk you through it
