Hangman, the v60t is a TDMA handset, you will not have a slot for a sim card because it doesn't use one, i would suggest moving on to a newer handset, i doubt you will much usable signal to use that handset anyways...

some prepaid services are still using TDMA phones, but
Tony is right about the quality of the calls. You would
definitely be better off selling that v60t on ebay while
it still has any kind of value and use the money to get
a better phone.
make sure you know whether your provider is GSM or
CDMA and make sure they can activate a used phone,
make sure you buy a brand/model they can activate.
If you still insist on using your TDMA handset even
though you know to expect mediocre quality and poor
coverage areas, you can check into some companies
like www.locusmobile.com make sure you click the TDMA
tab at the top of their page. They are ok in a big city
but TDMA phones have zero coverage in small towns,
rural areas, and definitely not when travelling! Plus when
you have less than 3 bars you sound like you are calling
from inside a tin can!

Yes there are still prepaid services still using TDMA, but as you can see from Brad's post it doesn't sound too promising anymore, hence the reason why i'm not recommending it anymore, also with T-Mobile's and Cingular's prepaid services you'll be better off anyway if the prepaid route is the way you want to go.....good luck
