the mic on my v400 won't work

when i call some one and talk they can't hear me at all when they call me they can't hear me i have a unlocked cingular with a at&t sim card everything else works but people can't hear me when i talk what should i do.

How long have you had the phone? If it is less than a year, it should be covered under Motorola's warranty. If it has been longer than a year since you bought it, you can try bringing it to your service provider's repair department, if they have one. Otherwise, your only other option would be to have it replaced under insurance, providing the phone is insured...
