Can Someone please help me .........

I won a motorola SLV L7 through pepsi. I just got it from UPS today! I did a little research online about the SIM card and found out that you have to activate the phone through cingular to get the card. My questions are... can I purchase a SIM card from a cingular store? Also can I buy a prepaid Sim card for this particular phone. I want to activate it but I dont want to go into a 2 year contract as stated on Cingulars web site! Thanks for any help you may have.

congrats on your new phone. i'm extremely jealous you can buy a cingular sim card for around $25 from a cingular store. since the phone wasn't bought from cingular, it's basically like you bought it at full price, therefore you shouldn't have to get hooked into a 2 year contract necessarily. you might be able to get into a 1 year contract for a little more money, but cingular always requires some sort of a contract, this is as far as i know. if anyone knows different feel free to correct me.
