    I have an i530 unlocked phone no sim card what do I have to do to get on to telus

    I believe the i530 is an iDEN network phone. Telus is a CDMA carrier. The two are incompatible.

    Since Telus is a CDMA and IDEN carrier you would have to flash the phone with Teli's software if you want all the features to work, other than that you might be able to use it just to make calls.

    Thanks for the reply, we'll have to phone telus next week and get more information from them. They're just setting up cell service on the islands. So it's all new to us, those of us who haven't had cell phones before.
