I just bought a Q 9h from ATT, and I was wondering how I can set up a song/sound as my ringtone!
I'm going to put the theme song to The Shield on there

Took it in to the ATT reps and they couldn't figure it out...

Re: How can I make a custom ringtone for my Moto Q 9h?
The Q9h supports musical ring tones in the following formats:
MIDI, MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+
The ring tone file size must be no larger than 600kb.
The Q has a different operating systerm than other Moto phoners, so refer to the manual under Connections to learn how to connect it to a computer using either Bluetooth or a USB cable to transfer files. Look in the Personalize section for info in where to put the ring tones.
The site in my signature will walk you through the process of converting music on CD to the MP3 format, and taking a small section of that MP3 for a ring tone. There are also instructions for transferring files from a phone to a PC. The exact process may be slighly different for the Q.

Thanks for your reply. I found out about the size limitation, but I swear that the ATT rep was able to use a 4.3MB file as a ringtone when he used his storage card...
Either way, besides making a file smaller than the limit, you can also hack the registry! If anyone was interested in doing this, you can find the tutorial here:
