Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Motorola device
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the Motorola device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts Using iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Motorola phone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third party app that can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
- After the vCard is done, tap Email and create a new email
- Ensure the vCard is attached and send the email to your own address
- Switch to the Moto phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use to share your contacts. The app is available on Android and iOS and uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Motorola device
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts to share and tap Send
- Select a transfer method and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
