    Hey everyone,

For my Motorola C332 I have a USB data cable that connects to my computer but I don't have drivers for it... How do I use this w/o buying any software? I have Windows XP Home btw.

See More: How do I use a USB data cable?

Nah those are news groups, I don't think you'll get much of an answer there.

Did you try connecting it and trying to get XP to detect it?

Yes, I did, and it tries to install the drivers automatically but it can't find them, basically. :/

Not even on the Microsoft web sites?

Try searching www.google.com for the drivers you need, and tell me your phone model and service provider so I can take a look.

Trust me, I've LOOKED on google through and through. I found things like "modem driver" but I want to use the cable to transfer data, such as midi's ( ) to the phone through the cable. Hope that helps.

You may be in luck, in taking a deep look into the T-Mobile website a buddy found the T-Mobile Internet Manager, which can be downloaded here: http://www.t-mobile.com/help/services/tz/mgr/index.asp Does exactly what I think you need it to do. T-Mobile gives it to you right on their website!

Well after I looked around several sites, I think the "modem driver" is exactly what you need to connect to the phone with the data cable.

Well, that's pretty cool. But my purpose isn't to connect to the net thru my phone. I just want to send files to the phone. Can you show me a page on there that says that this is possible? Thanks

    I don't think you're getting what we're telling you.

The software that connects your phone to your PC is part of the software that connects your PC to the internet through your phone.

    Oh, ok.
Just, this is probably a very stupid question, but I want to make sure. This only installs software on the PC, not on the phone, correct? And you can uninstall it?

After trying this I realized it's only an Internet manager and you can't send files.

Then you might want to try Motorola's download page: http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/soft...rvice_tech.htm

This might have the additional drivers that you need.
