Hello And Help!!

Hi to all,
I of course am new at this and that may be why this is soooo frustrating. I have a moto v3a through straight talk. I have the moto phone tools 5.0. I know that this can be used as a modem to get on the internet. Under lan settings it will work for a split second saying limited activity and then disconnects. I'm assuming that I need both the apn and the proxy address?? And the number to dial in?? The problem is when I get in touch with straight talk, I am not getting anywhere. It may be because a lot of the time I just can't understand what they are saying. I do get limited internet service on the phone itself when it works. Also forgot to mention that this runs off of verizon towers. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks and have a good day.
