I be a newbee here..
I am an old school mobile phone user, and at this time I am not interested in any bulky smart phones, as I don't need them.
I use the smallest, lightest mobile phones that must have a very high quality speaker phone.
I ONLY use a speaker phone as I would never, EVER hold a UHF-FM transmitter against my head or put one in my pocket.
Also, I need to have an external antenna port to use an external antenna and possibly an amplifier, I don't want RF signals bouncing around in my vehicles or buildings when
they don't have to be, and would never use a bluetooth repeater.
It seems to me that what is being marketed today is smart phones and tablets, and a quality mobile phone is pretty much a thing of the past.
There are no more phones with external antenna ports being made anymore, there are no more true car kits being sold because every phone or device is being fitted with blue tooth repeaters
The problems with bluetooth is that it takes the phone signal and repeats it on yet another higher frequency to bombard you with 2 frequencies, no thank you.
I think mobile phones are great for my business (a licensed master electrician) and I am heavily into the latest technology. I am licensed to do data, voice, audio, video,
automation controls and communications systems.
I know that the telecomunications corporations are only interested in marketing smart phones and tablets. That is why I joined this site, to hopefully get information
on traditional mobile phones, I save the texting and e-mails for the office computer. I only use wired modems , computers and peripherals, no need for any wireless
devices in my world except for a mobile phone, which I use with caution and respect.
