Here is a thread to hold all of those simple newbie questions. Here is mine.
I currently have a nextel phone plan with my company. I was interested in upgrading my i836 to a i870. On the nextel site, they offer one for 229.99 with a 2-year agreement. I want to look elsewhere for a cheaper deal on that phone. If I found a i870 on eBay of some other site, could I just call up and disable my current i836 and add my i870.
Thank you and I hope this thread can be a reference point for Nextel Noobs.

ok, thank you very much. Wasn't too sure about that. Would you recommend in your opinion what are some good sights to buy phones. eBay can always be a little shady.

an unlocked phone means it can be used on diff networks...such as BOOST, NEXTEL, TELUS, SO LINC . if you already have a NEXTEL sim than you can get a BOOST or NEXTEL phone. if you purchase a SO LINC or TELUS phone thats not unlocked, then your sim wont work in the phone, but if you find one unlocked your sim will work in it
