Hi all,
Wondering if someone can help me. I have a Nokia 6220 and have recently bought a USB DKU lead with nokia suite 5.1.
trouble I have is that the phone complains about the lead. When I plug the lead in it says "Data Enhancement Connected" then after a couple of seconds it then say " Data Enhancement Not supported".
I have installed the driver for the usb lead first and then installed Nokia Data suite. I can see the phone through data suite but can't connect to it..
Any one help with this, Thanks

What do you mean by Lead? If you are talking about the cable ie DKU-5, then fine.
Have you tried with a different cable? Did you try the infrared port? Or did you try the phone at your friends house with the same cable?
These suggestions will isolate the problem. After doing all this, then post your result so that we can help. What you lookin' here for ehhh?

Hey all:
Ok to to the person you wanted help. I UNDERSTAND YOU. When I got me data cable the installation CD was the biggest joke in the world. First Nokia PC Suite is not on the CD. The installation tells you to goto the Nokia website to download it from them. Second: Even though you install the drivers for some reason when you plug the cable in my WinXP didn't recognize the cable. You have to manually tell XP where the drivers are.
Ok now here is what I did. I when it asked to install the drivers I choose specific location and then I had to select where the cd had installed the drivers/.
C:\[WINXP]\system32\drivers\
That was the location for me. [WINXP] means which ever directory name windows was installed into. NOW if you still have trouble installing the drivers then when it asks you for a specific driver copy the name of the driver file then right click on "My Computer" and search for the file. It should be somewhere in your windows directory.
Nokia PC Suite was not on my CD like I said but I can't say it won't be on yours. I don't recommend it though. Mine constantly has problems copying images/tones to the phone. I have to reboot the computer for the gallery window to come up. I recommend Oxygen Phone Manager II http://www.opm-2.com/ It combines all the badly programmed nokia applications into one user interface and lets you install Games into the Games secion of the phone which Nokia Suite does not allow you to do.
Also if you have a data cable you might be interested in the new Nokia Desktop Charger which not only has the port in the back for your charger but also allows the datacable to attach there so you can just slot your phone into a nice cradle like a palm.
Also Pac if you just bought the cable and can't find them on the nokia website let me know and I'll send them to you.Last edited by CellDealer; 02-21-2004 at 03:25 PM.

Theres the link from nokia. You need to have the cable though if your phone doesn't have infrared
Thats just for a couple of the models. I think they have a couple different versions for some models and the sync button on the stand works for infrared.Last edited by CellDealer; 02-22-2004 at 03:08 PM.
