well im getting a new phone this week from cingular. i dont know which one yet, probably the lg they have right now, but i really dont want to pay for my ringtones. my friend has a 3595 and when he went to send me a multimedia message with a ringtone it said it couldnt because it was copyrighted. is there a way to download them and be able to send them, or was it because of the site he got them from (zingy).

This are the only ways to send a midi ringtone:

    1) via MMS
    2) via Bluetooth
    3) via IrDA

(maybe you could have a 4th choice... if you can set up an e-mail account on the phone, you could receive the file that way).
But if your phone locks the copyrighted material, I'm afraid you can't do anything about it!
