    PLEASE HELP ME.

I have Cingular and I'm wanted to get a new phone off of Ebay. I understand that the SIM card has to fit in the phone.

Do you know if a Cingular SIM card will fit in a Nokia 3300???

    OK...what if you downgrade?

What if you downgrade from a bling-bling phone (camara and other features) to a pretty standard phone.... There won't be a problem with the SIM??? I hope not because that is how I am going....

    shouldn't be a problem!

you could take a LG C1300 sim and put it in a RAZR, it would work. or vice versa. the sim just stores your network identity.

Only time you might run into SIM trouble is if you were doing the opposite, ie upgrading from a basic phone to a "bling-bling" phone. Some of the data device phones require a 64k SIM while the majority of the SIMs currently out there are 32k.

Also I have had problems with the Wireless Web. I had a T-Mobile Sim card and put it in a unlocked phone and my T-Zones(Web) didn't work. I had to talk to T-Mobile and they had to mess with the web settings to fix it. I don't know about Cingular's Web though.

yeah, if you unlock a phone, then switch carriers, the web settings are all goofy. you need to reconfigure them. but that makes sense!
