ok i called som1 with my cell phone (nokia, cingular) and i got a message that went like this:
subscriber u have dialed is not in service. If u feel you've recieved this message in error please try again later. Message Ma0356
i dont know what provider they r using.
What does this mean? i have recieved texts from this person and they used this same number. Did they cancel their service?
also they r on aim right now with their cell phone, does this mean anything, can u recieve calls while on AIM?
also, if any1 here has aim on there cell phone please let me know cause there r some questions i must know
thanx. The reason i posted here is because im using a nokia. I dont know the provider she's using so i guess this would be good enough
(and yes i did post this on a few forums, cause i need the answer desperately)

Hummm when ever I get a error message like that, when calling a number than I know works, it's normally because the cell towers I'm near are congested, or I have a weak signal.
It is also possible that with some phones, when the user is using the Internet or using the phone as a modem, that it takes the phone out of service (so to speak), but I would think in that case, incoming calls would go to voice mail.
I'd try again later or shoot her a quickie note through AIM on your computer, and ask her if her phone number is the same as the one shown in her AIM text messages.
