N82 is pretty outdated already and wouldn't be a good choice for a gift. Try looking at the Sony Ericsson X10 mini pro, it is one of the best compact phone to date with lots of great features. I was actually considering to get this phone for my boyfriend as a gift too and i have checked through timtechs to review the specs and boy, I was so impressed with the features
