Nokia N73 Offline mode problem

My other phone Nokia N73 is suddenly became OFFLINE mode after I power on. There is no signal and when I put on General profile (as suggested by many) and activated it, there is a message that says 'insert sim card" but the sim card is already inserted. I have read also that this is a prevalent problem of N73. Is there a permanent solution to this problem? Please help and/or suggest as I am not able to use this cell phone. Thank you very much.
