How-to: Nokia 5.1 Plus: Block/Unblock Calls and Messages, Manage Call Forwarding

Block Incoming Calls:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “All contacts”
3. Tap the phone number/contact you want to block
4. Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
5. Enable “All calls to voicemail”

Unblock Calls:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All contacts” and tap the one you want to unblock
3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
4. Disable “All calls to voicemail”

Block Messages:

1. Launch Google Messages
2. Select the conversation exchanged with the phone number/contact you want to block
3. Tap “Menu” > “People & Options”
4. Tap “Block [phone number]” > “OK”

NOTE: the conversation and future messages from the blocked contact will be archived. Notifications will be disabled for all the archived messages.

Unblock Messages:

1. Launch Google Messages
2. Tap “Menu” > “Archived”
3. Select the conversation exchanged with the contact/phone number you want to unblock
4. Tap “Menu” > “Unarchive”
5. Tap “Menu” again and go to “People & Options”
6. Tap “Unblock [phone number]”

Enable Call Forwarding:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Settings” > “Call forwarding” (this option might be unavailable if unsupported by your carrier)
4. Edit or enter the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
5. Tap “Enable”

Enable Conditional Call Forwarding:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Settings” > “Call forwarding”
4. Choose to forward incoming calls “When unanswered” “When unreachable” or “When busy’
5. Enter or edit the phone number you want to use for call forwarding
6. Tap “Enable” / “Update”

Disable Call Forwarding:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Settings”
4. Tap “Call forwarding” and, if necessary, select the forwarding option you want to turn off
5. Tap “Disable”
