Nokia PC Suite 5.16 + Win2K Pro SP4??

Hi,

I recently updated my desktop computer's Windows 2000 Professional operating system to Service Pack 4. I subsequently installed Nokia's PC Suite 5.16 software... but it doesn't seem to work. Whenever I try to use the software to connect to my Nokia 7210 phone (I'm connecting with a DKU-5 data cable, not infrared), my connection is continually interrupted -- i keep getting "contact lost" type error messages rendering any kind of file transfer between the phone and my computer useless.

This isn't happening when i use Nokia PC Suite to connect to my phone from my laptop, and the only difference between my laptop and my desktop is that my laptop runs Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3.

Is Service Pack 4 to blame? Is anyone else experiencing similar difficulties? Thanks.

try unistalling then reinstalling it

if you mean uninstalling and reinstalling pc suite, that doesn't work. already tried it.

any other ideas?
