    ok here is my problem

i have the data cable and a 4400... i put some ringtones on my phone and deleted a few from bitpim before i knew i wasn't supposed to do that. but anyways..
my phone says that i have these following ringtones

    sandimas
    morethanafeeling
    smokin
    red hott chiil
    vanessa carlton
    my friends over
    myfriendsover

but in bitpim it says i have

    morethanafeeling
    sandimas
    smokin
    thetatseofink
    vanesscarlton.

now i can upload any of the other things like wallpaper and phonebooks just fine, but even when i tried downloading a ringtone from GIN, it still doesn't show up in the phone ,but it shows up on bitpim (thetasteofink). when i try to access the file system, the ringers part (user>sound>ringer) when it goes to access that part, it doesn't open it up.. it comes back with its unable to talk to the phone.....

what the hell is going on.. any help at all would be appriciated

btw, what ringtones wont work, because i have found a few that wont work.
and its there a way to reset the phone back to factory??

You should be able to revert the phone through the security menu, also what service is it on?

i am not sure how to do it.. i've seen the option before but can't remember where I saw it.

If you hit /menu, 0, then enter all 0's for the passcode - inside the services menu... you get 10 options.. within some of those options there's something that allows you to reset the phone to factory.. basicly erase everything and start over.... it's either there or in the main menu places... good luck..

as far as the BitPim songs not showin up... i couldn't really help ya there.. there's all kinds of stuff that could be causing your problem...
but of course you do know that midi's are the only thing the vx4400 will play.... ( correct me if i'm wrong.. )

    peace
