Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone and access “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu and log in with your Google account
  6. Click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  8. Once the sync completes, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts’
  5. Select the contact you want to share
  6. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  7. Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps.

  1. Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone via the App Store
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. After the vCard is done, send it to your own email address as an attachment
  4. Switch to the Android device and open the email
  5. Download the vCard attachment and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android phone
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and then tap “Send” again
  6. Finally select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
