Wi-Fi Management
Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network:
- While on the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap "Wi-Fi"
- Tap the switch associated with "Wi-Fi" and set it to "On"
- Select a network
- If a password request window pops-up, type in the network's password and tap "Connect"
Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network:
- From the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap "Wi-Fi" and then press the "+" icon
- In the "SSID" field, type in the network's name
- Select the network's security type and specify any additional information
- Tap "Connect"
Deleting a Saved Wi-Fi Network:
- From the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap "Wi-Fi"
- Tap the "Wi-Fi" Switch and set it to "On"
- Tap the icon depicting a checmarked list
- Select the network that you wish to delete, and tap the "Trash can" icon
Disabling or Re-Enabling a Saved Wi-Fi Network:
- On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap "Wi-Fi"
- Make sure that Wi-Fi is enabled and tap the icon depicting a checkmarked list
- Select a network
- To disable or re-enable a network, tap the switch associated with "Enable Connections" and set to either "Off" or "On"
Mobile Network Settings
Connecting to a Mobile Network:
- While on the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Tap "Network Connections" > "Mobile Network"
- Tap the switch associated with "Mobile Network" and set it to "On"
Switching Wireless Networks Manually:
- On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the display
- Tap "Settings" > "Network Connections" > "Mobile Network"
- Tap the switch associated with "Mobile network "and set it to "On"
- Set the "Network Selection Mode" to "Manual"
- After the scanning process is complete, select a network to connect to
Disabling Data Services While Roaming:
- Swipe down from the top of the display, while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings" > "Network Connections" > "Mobile Network"
- Tap the switch associated with "Mobile Network" and set it to "On"
- Tap the "Data services while roaming" drop-down menu, and tap "Off" or "Prompt"
Mobile Hotspot Settings and Tethering
Using Mobile Hotspot to Share Your Internet Connection:
- On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Tap "Network Connections" > "Mobile Hotspot"
- Press the switch associated with "Mobile Hotspot" and set it to "On"
Finding Your Mobile Hotspot Settings:
- Swipe down on the home screen
- Tap "Settings" > "Network Connections"
- Tap "Mobile Hotspot" and press the icon depicting two horizontal sliders
Disconnecting a Device From Your Mobile Hotspot:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen, while viewing the home screen
- Tap "Settings" > "Network Connections" > "Mobile Hotspot"
- Select the name of the device that you wish to disconnect
- Press the "X" button
Using Internet Tethering to Share Your Internet Connection:
- Swipe down while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings" > "Network Connections" > "Internet Tethering"
- If this is the first time using Internet tethering, follow the on-screen instructions
- Tap the "Connect using" drop-down menu, and select either "USB" or "Bluetooth"
- Set the "Internet Tethering" switch to "On"
- Connect your smartphone to your computer via USB or Bluetooth
Bluetooth Management
Enabling Bluetooth:
- From the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap the "Bluetooth" icon to enable the feature
Pairing and Connecting With Another Bluetooth Device:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen, while viewing the home screen
- Tap "Bluetooth"
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled
- Perform one of the following steps:
- If the device that you wish to pair with appears under "Devices", tap its name and complete the pairing by following the on-screen instructions
- If the device is missing from the "Devices" list, check whether or not the other device is discoverable
- If the other device is discoverable but still does not appear in the "Devices" list, tap the "Discoverable" drop-down menu and select "On" or "2 Minutes"
Renaming a Paired or Saved Bluetooth Device:
- Swipe down from the home screen
- Tap "Bluetooth"
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled
- Tap and hold the device that you wish to rename
- Press the icon depicting four horizontal lines
- Enter the desired name in the "Device Name" field
Disconnecting from a Paired Bluetooth Device:
- From the home screen, swipe down from the top of the display
- Tap "Bluetooth"
- Tap and hold the deice that you wish to disconnect
- Tap the "Disconnect" icon
Deleting a Saved Bluetooth Device:
- Swipe down from the home of the screen
- Tap "Bluetooth"
- Tap and hold the device that you wish to delete
- Tap the "Trash can" icon
