help with data transfer

Hi, as you can see I'm new, and kind of overwhelmed trying to sort through the site. I need direction to newbie info for data transfer.

I ordered a data cable that I should have tomorrow or the next day. I'm sure I will need some kind of software to communicate between my PC and phone. I'm interested in learning how to load mp3 ringtones and pictures for wallpaper and such from my PC to my phone and vice versa, and backing up my contacts. I have a motorola tracfone v176.

If someone could point me toward the software I would need or tell me a place to find it would be appreciated. Hidden Content
