Transferring Contacts

Importing and Exporting Contacts:

  1. While viewing the home screen, tap the "Contacts" icon
  2. Press the "Menu" button on your device, then select "Import / Export"
  3. Select one of the following:

  • Import from USB storage: allows you to copy contacts that are stored in the phone's memory
  • Export to USB storage: enables you to copy contacts to the phone's memory
  • Import from SD card: allows you to copy contacts from a memory card
  • Export to SD card: copies contacts to an installed memory card

Sharing Contacts (vCards):

You can share contact namecards as vCards via Bluetooth, as well as an email attachment. To do so:

  1. Access the "Contacts" app located on the home screen
  2. Tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" and tap "Share namecard via"
  3. Mark the checkboxes associated with the contacts that you wish to share, or tap "Select all"
  4. Tap "Done" and then select a sending method, then follow the on-screen prompts for the method that you have selected. You can share via:

  • Bluetooth
  • Email
  • Gmail
  • Messaging
  • Wi-Fi Direct


Contact Groups

Creating a new Contact Group:

  1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
  2. Press the "Menu" key on your device
  3. Select "Create"
  4. Tap "Create Group in" to select a storage location
  5. Touch the "Group name" field and type in a name for the group
  6. Tap "Group ringtone" if you wish to assign a unique ringtone to the group
  7. Tap "Vibration pattern" to select a vibration pattern for the group
  8. Tap "Add member" to select which contacts you wish to add to the group
  9. Press "Save" when ready to create the group

Adding Contacts to an Existing Group:

  1. Access the "Contacts" app
  2. Go to the "Groups" tab
  3. Select the desired group, then tap "Add member"
  4. Mark the checkboxes associated with the contacts that you wish to add
  5. Press "Done" when ready

Removing Contacts from a Group:

  1. Tap "Contacts" on the home screen
  2. Access the "Groups" tab
  3. Select the desired group
  4. Tap the "Menu" key and then select "Remove member"
  5. Mark the checkboxes associated with the contacts that you wish to remove. Alternatively, you can press "Select all" to mark all the contacts
  6. Press "Done" when ready

Editing a Contacts Group:

  1. Access the "Contacts" app and then go to the "Groups" tab
  2. Touch the group that you wish to edit
  3. Press the "Menu" key and tap "Edit"
  4. Perform the necessary changes and save then when ready

Deleting a Group:

Note: predefined group can't be deleted. To delete a group that you have previously created:

  1. Tap the "Contacts" icon
  2. Access the "Groups" tab
  3. Tap the "Menu" button on your device
  4. Select "Delete groups"
  5. Mark the groups that you wish to delete, or press "Select all" to mark all of the groups
  6. When ready, tap "Delete", then choose "Group only" or "Group and group members"
