Audio Files Transfer
Transferring Audio Files from a Computer:
- Using the USB cable, connect your Galaxy Round to your PC
- Drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
- On your PC, an AutoPlay window should pop-up. Click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Open a new Windows Explorer window, and navigate to the location where the audio files are stored on your PC
- Copy the desired audio files and paste them on your phone's storage
- After the transfer finishes, safely disconnect your smartphone
Transferring Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
- Using your Mac's Internet browser, visit SAMSUNG KIES
- On the page, click "Download for Mac OS" and install Kies on your computer
- Establish a connection between your Galaxy Round and Mac using the USB cable
- On your smartphone, drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
- Mark the "Media device" check box
- Launch Kies on your Mac
- Click the "Folder" icon associated with "Internal memory" or "External memory". Navigate to where you wish to copy the files on your device's storage
- On the Mac, locate the audio files that you want to transfer
- Drag the files, and drop them inside Kies
- You can disconnect your smartphone once the transfer is complete
Adding Transferred Audio Files to the Notification List:
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- In the "Samsung" folder, tap "My files" > "All files"
- Navigate to where the audio files are located
- Tap and hold the desired file to mark it with a green check mark
- Press the "Menu" button and tap "Copy" > "Device storage"
- Select the "Notifications" folder and tap "Paste here"
- The added audio files will now be listed to the default notification list, in alphabetical order
Setting Custom Sounds
Changing the Ringtone for All Calls:
- Press the "Menu" button while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings" and touch the "Device" tab
- Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones"
- Perform one of the following:
- To change to a custom audio file:
- Tap "Add"
- Select the desired app for adding the ringtone, such as "Sound picker", "Choose music track" or "Dropbox"
- Tap "Always" or "Just once"
- Locate and select the audio file that you want to use
- Tap "OK"
- To set a pre-installed ringtone: tap the desired file from the list, and tap "OK"
- To change to a custom audio file:
Changing the Ringtone for One Particular Contact:
NOTE: you cannot set custom ringtones for contacts that are stored on the SIM card.
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- Tap "Contacts" and go to the "Contacts" tab
- Select a contact and tap the "Edit" icon
- Tap "Ringtone" and choose between the following:
- Tap "Default"
- Tap "Go to My Files" and set a custom audio file as a ringtone. Select the file, and tap "Done"
- Tap "Ringtones", choose a ringtone and tap "OK"
- Tap "Save"
Changing the Notifications Sound:
- Press the "Menu" button while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings" and tap the "Device" tab
- Touch "Sound" > "Default notification sound"
- Select the desired audio loop and tap "OK"
