    Back Up Applications:

    1. Press “Menu” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Access the “Accounts” tab and tap “Backup and reset”. NOTE: in order to back up your apps you need to be logged in to a Google account. To add one, tap “Backup account” > “Add account”
    4. If necessary, check the boxes associated with “Backup my data” and “Backup account”

    Back Up Contacts

    On a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Tap “Contacts” on the home screen
    2. Press “Menu” > “Merge accounts"
    3. Select either “Merge with Google” or “Merge with Samsung”
    4. Sign in to your Google or Samsung account if necessary

    On an SD Card:

    1. Ensure you have an SD card installed on your phone
    2. Launch “Contacts” and press “Menu”
    3. Select “Contacts to display” and tap “All contacts”
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export"
    5. Tap “Export to SD card”
    6. Make sure you remember the backup file’s name for future use, and tap “OK”

    Back Up Media Files

    Using Your Smartphone:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Launch “My Files” and tap “All files”
    3. Tap “Device storage” and locate the folders containing the desired media files. NOTE: Directories of interest include “DCIM”, “Downloads”, “Ringtones” and so on
    4. Mark the check box associated with the files / folders you wish to back up
    5. Press “Menu” > “Copy” or “Move” (to avoid duplicates)
    6. Tap “SD memory card”
    7. Navigate to the desired backup folder and tap “Paste” or “Move here”

    Using a Computer:

    1. Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and tap “Connected as a media device”
    3. Enable “Media device (MTP)”
    4. On the computer click “Open device to view files using Windows Explorer”
    5. Navigate to the files you wish to back up (the “Card” directory represents the removable storage, whereas “Phone” stands for internal memory)
    6. Copy the desired files and paste them in the desired backup location on your computer
    7. Once the transfer is done, click the “mass storage device” icon in the system tray, eject the phone and safely disconnect it

    Using a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac

    1. Visit Kies
    2. Click “Download for Mac OS”
    3. Follow the on-screen steps to install Kies on your Mac
    4. Connect the Galaxy Grand Neo Plus to your Mac via USB
    5. Drag the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac and click the “Back up / restore” tab
    7. Click the “Backup” tab
    8. Mark the check boxes associated with “Music”, “Photos” and other media file types you wish to back up. Optionally tap “Select all”
    9. Click “Backup” and wait for the process to complete
    10. Once done, eject the phone’s storage from the Mac and safely disconnect the device
