Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Galaxy On5 to your PC via USB
- On the home screen, drag the Status bar down from the top, and enable Media device (MTP)
- Launch an Explorer window on the computer
- Navigate to the desired audio files on the PC, and copy them
- Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Media directory > Ringtones and Notifications folders
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and disconnect the device from the USB connector
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps.
- Launch the Internet browser on your Mac computer
- Visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac to download and install Kies on the computer
- Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy On5 and computer
- On the smartphone, drag the Status bar down and enable Media device (MTP)
- Open Kies on the Mac, and click the Folder icon associated with Internal memory or External memory
- Open a file explorer and locate the audio files on your computer
- Drag the desired files, and drop them into Kies to begin the transfer
- Once the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop into the trash can / eject icon
- Disconnect the phone from the USB connector
Adding Audio Files to the List of Ringtones:
- Open the apps drawer and go to Settings
- Tap Sounds and notifications under Device
- Under Sound, tap Ringtones and sounds
- Tap Ringtone > Add ringtone and choose to complete the action with Sound picker
- Choose Always or Just once
- Select the audio files you want to use as ringtones and tap Done
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the Settings menu
- Tap Sounds and notifications under Device
- Under Sound, tap Ringtones and sounds
- Tap Ringtone and choose the one you want to use
- Tap Back and changes will be saved automatically
Change a Contacts Ringtone:
- Open Contacts and select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK > Save
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access the phones Settings menu
- Tap Sounds and notifications under Device
- Tap Ringtones and sounds under Sound
- Select the desired notification sound and tap Back to save the changes
