How-to: Samsung Galaxy Amp 2: Create and Manage Contacts & Caller Groups; Clear the Call Log

Create a New Contact:

1. Open the apps drawer
2. Launch “Contacts” and tap “Create”
3. Choose to save the contact on the “SIM card”, “Device” or sync it with “Google”
4. Enter the contact’s name, phone number and other details in the proper fields
5. Tap “Save”

Import / Export Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Tap “import / Export contacts” and perform one of the following:
   
   • When importing contacts: select the contact location and select to import the contacts on “Device”
   • When exporting contacts: select a destination, the desired contacts, and tap “OK”

Add a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. On the home screen, tap “Phone”
2. In the upper-right corner, tap “more”
3. Access “Speed dial” and select the speed dial digit you want to use
4. Select the contact you want to link with the speed dial number
5. Tap “Back” and the changes will be saved automatically

Deleting Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts
2. Tap the contact you want to remove
3. Tap “More” > “Delete”
4. Tap “Delete” again to confirm

Create Caller Groups via New Contact:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Select a contact to use for creating a group
3. Tap “Edit” > “Groups”
4. Select “Create group”
5. Enter a name for the group and tap “Create”
6. Press “Back” to the contact’s profile and tap “Save”

Add a Contact to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
3. Access the “Groups” tab
4. Select a group and tap “Back”
5. Tap “Save” to confirm
