Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Samsung device.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer and connect the iPhone via USB
  2. Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to “Info”
  3. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  4. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  5. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  6. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Samsung phone and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  7. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Samsung device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in to your account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in to your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. After the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. On the Samsung device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for transferring your iPhone contacts. The app is available on Android and iOS and uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
