Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Android device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the desired audio files on the computer
  5. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” and/or “Media” directories
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Transfer Audio Files form a Mac Computer:

NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, you can skip the first 3 steps below:

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
  2. Visit Samsung Kies
  3. Click “Download for Mac” and follow the on-screen steps to install Kies
  4. Connect the Samsung phone to the Mac via USB and enable “Media device” / “File transfer”
  5. Launch Kies on the Mac
  6. Click the “Folder” icon inside Kies, located next to “Internal memory” or “External memory”
  7. Launch the File Finder on the Mac
  8. Locate the desired audio files
  9. Drag and drop the files inside Kies to start the transfer
  10. Once the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the “Trash can” to eject it
  11. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Tap “Sound and notifications” under “Sound and Display”
  4. Tap “Ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone
  6. Press “OK” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Sound and Display”
  3. Tap “Sound and notifications”
  4. Tap “Notifications” and select the desired notification sound
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm
