Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with access to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts using your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing accounts
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, perform one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook using Google Contacts
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Once the vCard is done, use the app to send it to your own email address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for transferring your contacts. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring access to a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device via the Play Store
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Tap Send again and select one of the available transfer methods on one of the phones
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
