NOTE: You can check this thread for a guide on how to back up contacts, media files and app data on the phone.
Restore Contacts from SD Storage:
- Open Contacts
- Tap Menu
- Go to Settings
- If necessary, tap Contacts to display and select All contacts
- Tap Import/Export contacts > Import from SD card
- Press OK
Restore Media Files from SD Storage:
- Open My Files
- Go to SD card and tap Menu > edit
- Tick the check boxes linked with the media files you want to restore
- Tap Menu > Move > Internal storage
- Tap Move here or tap Create folder or the folder name to restore the files to a different location
- When ready, tap Move here
Restore Media Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
- On the phone, enable Media device / File Transfer
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media file backups on the PC
- Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
- After the transfer completes you can safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a Mac:
- Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
- Enable File Transfer / Media device on the phone
- Open Kieson the Mac
- Access the Back up / Restore tap and go to Restore
- Tick the boxes associated with Music Photos and other media file types you want to restore
- Click Restore and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
- Once done, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the Trash can to eject it
- You can safely disconnect the device from the USB port
