    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Cloud and account”
    3. Tap “Backup & Restore”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you reinstall apps or log in with the backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts” and access “Cloud and account”
    2. Tap “Accounts” and select the desired account to use for the backup
    3. Make sure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
    3. If necessary, switch to “All contacts”
    4. Tap “Import/Export”
    5. Tap “Export to SD” > “OK”

    Back Up Media Files on the Phone Storage:

    1. Open “My Files”
    2. Go to “Internal storage”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Share”
    4. Select the desired contacts and tap “Share”
    5. Select the desired backup location

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and PC
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Locate the media files on the phone
    4. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    5. Once the transfer is done, safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac:

    NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is installed on the Mac.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
    3. Click “Download for Mac” and install the app
    4. Connect the Android phone to the Mac via USB
    5. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac and access “Back up / Restore”
    7. Go to “Backup” and tick the boxes associated with “Music” “Photos” and other media file types you want to back up
    8. Click “Backup” to begin the sync
    9. Once the process completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
