Transfer iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, then you can sync the account data and contacts with the Android phone.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the process is done, switch to the Android phone and if necessary log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “export vCard”
  6. Follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: The methods above require a computer with Internet access but you can also share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps as described above. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use for backing up and transferring contacts without computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Send the vCard to your own email address
  4. On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  5. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use to share your iPhone contacts, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share content cross-platform.

  1. Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
  2. Install the app on the Android device via the Play Store
  3. Open the app on both phones
  4. On the iPhone, select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  5. Select the desired transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
