How-to: Samsung Galaxy J4 Core: Create and Manage Contacts, Caller Groups, and Speed Dialing

Create a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts” and tap “+”
2. Select to store the contact on “Phone” “SIM” or sync it with “Google”
3. Enter the contact details in the appropriate fields
4. Tap “Done”

Import/Export Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Access “Manage contacts”
4. Tap “Move contacts from phone” and select an account with which to sync the contacts
5. Tap “move” > “Import/Export contacts”
6. Follow one of the steps below:
   
   • When importing contacts: tap “Import” > “SD Card” and select the contacts then tap “Internal Storage” > “Done” > “Import” > “OK”
   • When exporting contacts: tap “Export” > “SD Card” and select the desired contacts then tap “Done” > “Export” > “OK”

Add Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Access “Contacts”
3. Tap “menu” > “Speed dial”
4. Select an unused speed dial key
5. Select the contact/phone number you want to associate with the speed dial key

Delete Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to delete
3. Tap “Menu”
4. Press “Delete” two times to confirm

Create a Caller Group:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Groups” and tap “Create”
4. Name the group
5. Set the optional group options such as custom ringtones etc.
6. Tap “Save” when ready

Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Launch “contacts”
2. Tap and hold the desired contact
3. Access “Details”
4. Tap “Edit” > “Group”
5. Tick the check box associated with the desired caller group
6. Tap “Back” > “Save”
