Samsung Sch-a650 data cable HELP

I just bought the a650 samsung phone from verizon and i also bought a data cable with the bitpim software. My computer will see my phone but the software will not let me do anything. I can get the filesystem to work and it says whats on my phone, but beyond that I cant get it to work. So if anyone knows how to use it to get ringtones and wallpapers from my PC to my phone or of another program that i can download from the internet that works please post here.
