HELP!!! Samsung e317 USB Data cable

HI ALL,

I have a Samsung e317 phone. Just picked up a USB data cable. I installed the required drivers, downloaded the Samsung software, and plugged in the phone; nothing. Run the software, it doesn't see the phone. Does anyone have any experience or success with this setup? Please help!

I just got a data cable for my e317 as well. What software are you using and where did you download it? Perhaps I can figure it out if I have something to work with.

what com port is the usb cable on? what com port is easy gprs set too?

Could some one please help me! I have the same problem. I tried and tried to make my usb kit work. My service provider is Suncom.

For what it is worth, Samsung tells me (I have a 315) that the only cable that will work is a serial cable. USB cable does not work their phones??????? Got it straight from Samsung..... Good Luck!!! If you find a way to use it I would appreciate the information as a serial cable and software is $50.00

Is ur USB cable connected properly? read the instructions if u have any

Does anyone know where i can get the software for the cable i lost the disc
